  • September 2010: The fourth annual Toast to a Cure was held in Madison, WI. Dr. Mark Albertini is presented a check for $125,000 for his ongoing melanoma research at UWCCC.
  • July 2010: The John Gehl Family hosts "A Night of Hope" in memory of Faye Gehl who lost her battle to melanoma in 1990. The event was held on shores of Beaver Lake with over 400 guests attending. The event raised $250,000 for Ann's Hope Foundation.
  • May 2010: 6th annual block melanoma 5K/3k run/walk is held for the second time at the Milwaukee County Zoo. The event was co sponsored by Ann's Hope Foundation and Aurora Health Care. Over 2,200 people attend the event and over $70,000 is raised for St Lukes Medical College y-til immunotherapy clinical trial.
  • September 2009: The 3rd Annual Toast to a Cure is held at the Brink Lounge in Madison. Over 180 people enjoy tasting wines and supporting the ground breaking research that is being done at UW-Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Mark Albertini is presented a check for $75,000 making the pledge of $225,000 fully paid.
  • May 2009: The 5th Annual Block Melanoma 5k Run and 3k Walk is moved to it's new location, The Milwaukee County Zoo. The event attracts 1,300 attendees, and $50,000 is raised for St. Luke's Medical College's yTIL Immunotherapy Clinical Trial.
  • March 2009: The 4th Annual Evening to Illuminate Hope for Melanoma Gala and Auction held at the Legend at Brandybrook in Wales, WI sells out with 280 guests attending the event. The night raises over $72,000 for melanoma research.
  • December 2008: Ann's Hope Foundation awards St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI a $50,000 grant towards their clinical trail for stage 4 melanoma patients. Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is one of the first institutions in the world to offer this new cancer research study that trains the patient's immune system to kill cancer cells. The Young Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte (Y-TIL) trial is a phase 2 clinical trial being offered with technical support from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Md.
  • September 2008: The 2nd Annual Toast to a Cure is held at the Brink Lounge in Madison, WI. The evening includes the presentation of a check for $75,000 to Dr. Mark Albertini's melanoma research lab. Over 150 guests attended the event and $20,000 for research was raised.
  • September 2008: Ann's Hope Foundation, Inc. continues to look for opportunities to support melanoma research and education in Wisconsin. Current and future opportunities exist with UW-CCC and St. Luke's Hospital and Aurora Healthcare.
  • June 2008: Ann's Hope Foundation sponsors "Create a Racquet" for melanoma research and $1,500 is raised for research.
  • March 2008: The Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association contributes $21,000 to Ann's Hope Foundation after selecting the foundation as their fundraising recipient.
  • September 2007: The 1st Annual Toast to a Cure is held in Madison, WI clearing $20,000
  • May 2007: Ann's Hope Foundation, Inc. commits a $225,000 pledge to the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center to be paid in $75,000 installments over three years. The pledge is earmarked to Dr. Mark Albertini's melanoma research lab and his groundbreaking work in the field of melanoma.
  • February 2007, February 2008: The auction and gala events are sold out with the 2008 event clearing over $85,000.
  • May 2006, May 2007, May 2008: The Annual Block Melanoma 5k Run and 3k Walks are held with the May 2008 event attracting a record breaking 1,025 people.
  • March 2006: Ann's Hope Foundation, Inc. makes a two year grant commitment to Dr. Vinond Shidham at the Medical College of Wisconsin for his melanoma cocktail biopsy research. The $65,000 grant is paid out in 2006 and 2007.
  • February 2006: The 1st Annual auction and gala event, "A Night of Hope and Evening to Put Melanoma in the Dark", was held at Chenequa Country Club in Hartland. The event sold out with 275 attendees and raised over $60,000.
  • December 2005: Ann's Hope Foundation, Inc. gives its first grant of $35,000 to the American Cancer Society. The grant was earmarked to Dr. Stephen Murray for melanoma research.
  • May 2005: 1st Annual Block Melanoma 5k Run & 3k Walk held at Country Springs in Waukesha. The event was attended by over 800 people and cleared just over $35,000.
  • February 2005: Ann's Hope Foundation, Inc. was founded and received 501c3 status by Ann Harrington and Anne Frentzel. Their mission is to raise awareness and funding for research for melanoma cancer after they lost a brother and father to melanoma.
